This is a beautiful, open, comfortable restaurant on the lake in Chapala. The staff were wonderful. They are friendly and attentive. The food was great. I had the lasagna and my wife had the pasta with shrimp. We had a wonderful meal and the price was so affordable. This is a must go to restaurant if you visit Chapala.

What a fabulous place. A truly authentic Italian restaurant. From Chapala these owners have brought Italy to Ajijic. From the Adam and Eve salad, the ravioli in pesto sauce, the gnocchi, the gelato the meal was outstanding. April was totally great and super attentive. We will definitely make this a favorite

These folks deserve every bit of a 5 Star review. Let me start by saying that Italian cuisine is not my first choice, but I've eaten at many of the most popular Italian restaurants in Las Vegas, and none are better than Romeo y Juliette. The atmosphere is simple and charming, the service was excellent, and the food was OUTSTANDING on both of our recent visits there.

Update for 2023: This restaurant has come a long way in the past year. Food is excellent and service is smooth, professional, and welcoming. This is probably the biggest step up I've encountered in any local place in the past year Original 2022 Review: Good atmosphere, so-so food, Keystone Cops service... While the restaurant itself is charming, with a rustic atmosphere, the food does not live up to expectations. I can immediately think of two better Italian places in the area. Service is welcoming, but utterly inept, with the waiter repeatedly having to re-confirm orders and still getting things wrong. It's a shame, because this really could be a very nice venue.

Had lunch there yesterday. Nice, clean place. Good service and ambiance. We ordered a caprese salad and a capricciosa pizza. The pizza was amazing - great flavor and a thin crispy crust from their wood fired oven. I could eat this pizza every day! Would definitely return.

Ajijic new location - Authentic Italian food both simple and fresh! I had the ravioli special - it was delicious and my husband had the spaghetti bolognese, This was one of the best he has ever had. Good prices, friendly service and a beautiful indoor and outdoor area. Highly recommend. We will be back.
